The clock on spring's storms

Three hail events. One year, give or take, to act on them.

North Texas took three major hail hits this spring. Most Texas homeowner policies give you about a year from the date of the storm to file — check yours. Two things get worse the longer a hit roof waits: bruised shingles start to leak, and fresh hail marks start to look like ordinary wear. Get the photos taken now; decide what to do with them later.

How it works

Three steps. You stay on the ground.

  1. Call or book

Twenty seconds. We set a half-day window — morning or afternoon — often within the week.

  2. We inspect and photograph

About 30 minutes on the roof and around the house. Stay inside, keep the dog in.

  3. You get the report, then you decide

File, wait, or do nothing. If you file, we meet your adjuster. If there's no damage, we tell you that too.

What hail damage looks like

From the driveway you'll see almost none of this.

That's why the inspection happens on the roof, not from the yard with binoculars.

Bruised shingles

Soft, dark spots where the stone knocked the granules loose. It feels like a bruise on an apple — and it leaks in a year or two.

Cracked mat

The stone splits the shingle's fiberglass core. Water follows the crack straight to the decking.

Dented soft metals

Vent caps, gutters, flashing and AC fins take dents first. Adjusters look here to confirm it was hail and not age.

A hail hit doesn't look like a hole. It looks like nothing at all — until the ceiling stains. That's the whole reason the inspection is free: it costs us a half hour and it saves you a guess.

Questions people ask before they call

Straight answers.

Is the inspection really free?
Yes. No cost, no obligation, and the photo report is yours whether or not you hire us.
Does homeowners insurance cover hail damage?
Most Texas policies cover sudden storm damage — but your policy and your carrier decide, not us. Our job is to show you, and your adjuster, exactly what's on the roof.
Do you handle the insurance claim for me?
No. The claim is yours. We inspect, document, meet your adjuster on site if you file, and do the work to the approved scope. Texas keeps roofers and adjusters separate; so do we.
I can't see any damage from the ground. Should I bother?
Most hail damage isn't visible from the ground. Bruises and cracked mats don't show from the driveway; dented vents are on the back slope. Thirty minutes tells you for sure, either way.
Someone else already looked at my roof.
A free second set of eyes — and a second set of dated photos — never hurts, especially before an adjuster visit. If they got it right, we'll say so.
How soon can you come out?
We book half-day windows, morning or afternoon, often within the week. Call and we'll give you the next two or three openings.
Where do you work?
Crowley, Burleson, Joshua, Cleburne, Mansfield, Fort Worth, Everman, Kennedale, Benbrook, Rendon, Aledo, Weatherford, Granbury, Haltom City, Keller, Godley, Alvarado and the surrounding area. Not sure? Call — we'll tell you straight.
